Last year my 9 year old daughter and I signed up to walk in a 2 mile fun walk to support our local Christian radio ministry and we had a great time!! It was the first 5k/2mi walk event that the station had put together and the turn out was awesome!! The weather was a perfect morning in June and it was just an overall great day to spend with my little girl and some great friends!

As far as my progress goes on my weight loss journey....the weight is not coming off like I had planned but I also know the reasons why. It's all about choices and lifestyle changes. It's a little difficult for me when I seem to be the only one in the household that has to monitor calories and fitness. I've slipped a lot over the winter and the holidays. I ate too much. Had too many desserts. Had too much soda. Had big portions at holiday dinners. Have too many excuses. But I know that each new day is a chance to change even ONE of those. So....thankfully, today is a new day!

This year we've signed up for the 2nd Annual 2mi walk. And this year, I'm happy to say that my husband is joining us to join in on the exercise opportunity and the chance to have some good quality family fitness time! It's not until June, but it's something that I'm definitely looking forward to doing as a family!
