My Kingdom for a Dress

Next weekend is a huge benefit for the LGBT theatre company that I’m a proud member of. We need the money badly and our board/company managers have pulled every resource they have to make this a success. It will most certainly be star studded (including a very famous golden girl and ex-Supreme!) and we hope to erase all of our debt with tickets sales, donations and auction proceeds. All that being said we must dress to impress in black and white. I absolutely adore wearing gowns and am very excited to go shopping for accessories, etc. What I love about our “dress code” even more is that it’s super easy to deal with and everyone will look great because of it. Yesterday I had some extra time before meeting some friends for dinner and took a look around David’s Bridal which has a lot of great evening dresses. As I looked around, I came across a lot of dresses that simply weren’t fancy enough or didn’t make the impression I wanted until I found THE dress.
I absolutely love this dress SparkBuddies and along with some excellent accessories can make the most of it. It was comfortable, looked great and was just what I was looking for. The plan is for me either to do white accessories or pearl accessories. I’m leaning towards pearl because I already have a ton of things to use and could make my own pearl headband in little or no time. I also need to figure out if I’m going to keeping my arms and shoulders out as well. I also have white elbow length gloves that I can use as well. It’s really a confidence thing for me and while I think I look pretty good, my mood may change. We’ll see.
While the dress fits perfectly, I don’t want to get any bigger and I don’t want the dress to be too tight when I purchase it next week. Yes, I know I’m cutting it very close but I don’t really have a choice. If for some reason this dress gets sold, I’ll drive all over Southern California to find it again. This has given me some extra motivation to try to lose weight and eat healthier which I haven’t been doing for weeks. Wish me luck and thank you for your support!
