Can Chocolate Really Make Your Waistline Smaller?
Tuesday, April 15, 2014
According to Dr. Magdalena Cuenca Garcia who works in the physiology department at the University of Granada consuming 1.5 ounces of chocolate (about nine Hershey's Kisses) every day can lower your BMI and make your waistline smaller. Apparently, flavonoids that is found in Chocolate helps slow down the production of cortisol, a stress hormone that increases abdominal fat. They use to believe that only Chocolate that contained 70% or higher of Coco was healthy for us, but after conducing her own research study at the University of Granada she discovered that dark bitter chocolate isn't better---any product that lists chocolate as a main ingredient may make your midsection little. So the next time you are craving some chocolate go ahead and enjoy. As always mind your serving sizes though.
