5% Spring Challenge WK 1...Please Pass The Fiber

So far, so good. Down a little over 3 pounds. The secret? 1st half of week was just trying to stay within calorie range by posting foods eaten (keeps me honest) and then in the 2nd half of the week I got the bright idea to give Atkins a try...again. According the Jimmy Moore's Living La Vida Low Carb podcast #389 (great interview with Jackie Eberstein R.N., worked with Dr. Atkins since 1974) Induction isn't about weight loss but rather getting our bodies to switch from burning carbs for energy to burning fat. Weight loss just seems to be a very nice bonus :) Anyway, from there and other sites and testimonials I was actually counting on a bigger loss until I came across the only Youtuber to mention FIBER! Apparently all this protein, especially if the sources are animal, can get you a little backed up. Sadly, that is exactly where I am BUT (I don't think that was a pun) there is hope. YouTuber said by taking a Fiber tablet daily (with psyllium husks) she was able to visit the throne daily on her way to losing 10 pounds that week, and she's seems smaller than me!
So looking forward to getting some EasyGo (that's what I'd call it if it were my company) this weekend along with some veggies because it's not just about the fats and proteins. That and slowly cutting back on the diet sodas and drinking more water.
Some results from just a few days of mostly eating proteins/fats:
More energy (especially today)
Less soreness in lower joints (carbs can cause an inflammatory response)
