170.6 Pounds! 180 Pounds LOST!

Friday, April 11, 2014

So I chose today to weigh-in and oh my goodness today is a GREAT day. Here at the numbers:

Weight: 170.6 lbs.
Body Fat %: 27.2
Water %: 54.0
Muscle %: 40.6
Bone Mass: 4.6

So I've gone down from 172 pounds :) Almost there! My goal weight is 168 and then I can go from there. I think 165 or even 160 would be awesome but 168 is my goal weight for right now.

To reward reaching my goal weight I'm going to do a professional photo shoot with a local photographer. There are so many but I've had my eye of a few but one in particular. The one I want to shoot with just had an unfortunate event happen to her... her 1964 Biscayne car that her and her husband just got 2 months ago was crashed into by a hit and run driver. Her insurance, Geico, will not cover anything unless there is a car + driver which is completely insane since she does have witnesses and a police report. So in order to raise money for repairs she is offering photo shoots at a discount and offering packages she usually doesn't over. The shoot comes with hair, makeup, wardrobe, styling, and 12 or 15 edits depending on which package you choose. I messaged her and asked a few questions and she was super sweet and so helpful. She gave me examples of what a fantasy look would be and it is basically a more stylized shoot. The first package is $350 for 1 fantasy look, 12 edits, hair, makeup, styling, and will be at her studio. The second package is $450 for 2 fantasy looks, 15 edits, hair, makeup, styling, and will also be in her studio. I'm not sure which package to go with... any suggestions? Package 1 or package 2? She sent me a paypal invoice for a $100.00 deposit to get me on the books so I went ahead and paid the deposit. The rest won't be due until my shoot which will hopefully be in June. I'm beyond excited that this opportunity arose when it did because these are amazing prices compared to what she usually charges.

Yesterday I walked to meet my boyfriend at the mechanic shop for the oil change and I'm not sure how I managed it but I walked right past the shop and walked almost 8 blocks out of the way. The good side is I got an extra long walk walking pretty fast. The bad side was I was exhausted and the mechanic ended up having to cancel the appointment because he didn't have room at the time since he had a lot of cars in the shop. We ended up going to AAA to pay our insurance for the entire year so at least we got something done. The mechanic said to come down today so I'm going to give him a call before we head over to make sure he can take us.

Tonight's dinner is going to be green beans, rice a roni long grain & wild rice, chicken breast marinated in mccormick baja citrus grill mates, and probably some toast. I was going to do sauteed red potatoes with onions, garlic, and rosemary but just not feeling up to doing all of that after my long walk yesterday. Tonight is gym night so I'll be doing weights, 15 minutes on the arc trainer, and 15 minutes on the treadmill. I've already done a 40 minute walk this morning and will be doing a 30 minute exercise this afternoon. I'm going to Safeway with my uncle to pick out some stuff for groceries. I made him a list with prices and marked items in the sales paper.

A photo shoot is a great reward! Go for what you can afford. If it's the bigger package, why not. You're worked hard. You better post some pics on Spark!!

The insurance thing sounds hokey - but with Geico, anything is possible! Good luck with the photo shoot, and congrats on your milestone!

What a wonderful achievement. So proud of your efforts and commitment to the journey. The photo shoot sounds wonderful. Hope you have some wonderful outfits chosen to wear. I would suggest photo shoot one and taking some pictures at home with your own camera. You will probably get some wonderful shots at home or in a park if it's a nice day. When I see wedding photos those are the ones I always like best.
