Day 9 - UFFDA!

UFFDA! - translation for non Minnesotans/Norwegian Americans = similar to Oi Vey! Oh my Goodness! Wow! What the heck! all rolled into one!
Happy Friday all. That uffda is how my day is starting. I ate a 700 calorie breakfast! Uffda! But I've already made a plan to compensate for the rest of the day and still be on calorie track. Darn those Bavarian creme filled chocolate covered Bismark donuts! Not a healthy way to blow my calories. Next time, perhaps I should only eat half of it.
256! that is a number I haven't seen on my scale in a LONG time and until I ate that donut, that was the number on my scale this week! My progress may be slow, but its progress. I know my progress would be better minus that pesky donut, but I know that a slip up once in a while shouldn't derail me. In fact, I have logged my lunch already and if I get back on track for the rest of the day, I will still be within my calorie range for today. I can do this.
I have 90 minutes in the pool planned for tonight and my donut slip will not keep me from hitting the pool. Tomorrow I run Goldy's 5K Race. (Goldy Gopher is the name of the U of Minnesota's mascot. I work at the U of MN.)
I just checked and the rec center where I work out is going to be open when the 5K is over so I can "cool down" from my 5K by going for a swim and a sauna or steam in the steam room before I go home and crash! That means I will have my 120 minutes before 11 a.m.!
I am not sure what I am going to do for Sunday as I am "Bowling for Brains" from 1-5 in memory of my dear friend and co-worker who lost her battle with brain cancer a year ago. I'll have to work out/go for a walk before church and then make sure I have my spark on my bowling shoes for the afternoon! Then the gym will still be open for a swim after bowling on Sunday night to make sure I have my 120 minutes.
This is a really busy weekend! I have been trying to make my weekends more low key, but I am looking forward to it nonetheless. I can't believe how much my outlook has already changed during this 100 days challenge. I have spent more time planning my workouts this weekend than I have ever before! I like it, but its unusual for me!
I hope you all have a great weekend
