My lovely boyfriend has surprised me with a few gifts that he got off of Amazon! The first box came the other day and it was a gorgeous apron in black and white damascus design with pink accents and ties. It fit me perfectly! The next package was a new pair of Disney Tinkerbell fleece pajama bottoms in a juniors xl and they are beyond comfy and they fit wonderfully. Who woulda thought I could fit into juniors sized clothing!? And then yesterday another package came and it was a beautiful Tinkerbell shirt in white with a lot of detail and glitter! in a size 1x and it is huge on me but is 100% cotton so hoping I can get it to shrink but if not it will make a great pajama shirt to go along with the pants. Also the box contained an XOXO medium sized cookie scoop!!!! I've been wanting one forever so I can have perfectly and even sized cookies and I can use it for my cupcakes as well. He said there's 2 more boxes coming but won't be here for another week or so but I can't wait! He sure does know how to spoil a girl :) I'm so lucky not because of the gifts but the thought behind them and the idea of knowing that he thought of me.
I just realized last night that we leave for Chico in 9 days! Holy crap where on earth did the time go? It seems to be flying by because it's already almost Easter! I can't wait to get away for the weekend. I'm planning on making a hair appointment to get my hair redyed red and get it cut. I was thinking of going shoulder length with layers, framed around my face, and side bangs. I want something new and different or at least slightly different than my normal which is cut 3 inches off and have layers. I have long hair and have had it shoulder length only twice in my lifetime and the side bangs were done horribly the last time I got them but it was with a different salon... this salon I know knows their stuff and if they were to mess up they'd fix it and make it right.
So today I went for my walk at the same time my boyfriend left for work which was around 7:15am. It was a bit cooler and there was more of a breeze than yesterday but it felt so good on my skin! I made sure to wear my long sleeved Champion jacket so I wouldn't be too cold. I love my morning walks :) It's so calming and refreshing and it's nice having strangers tell me good morning. A few days ago a homeless woman told me to have a blessed day and was really sweet and only looked a few years older than me.
Our plants are doing wonderfully so far. I have 3 cauliflower sprouts, 3 broccoli sprouts, 1 basil sprout, and 3 peas sprouts 1 of which is getting huge fast! It's almost time to transplant the pea that is getting so big. Also our artichoke plants and getting more leaves and are getting taller already. The 2 tomato plants in the backyard and filling out nicely and have gotten much taller. Our 2 apple trees in the front yard have a lot more leaves and more branches starting. They've grown about 2-3 inches in height since we planted the. Also our grape is getting huge! I was surprised to see so many leaves growing and it's getting wider. I need to set up a trellis for it soon so it can grow on it and branch out more. I'm so proud and happy with our little garden. Can't wait for harvest time :) Lastly our grass seeds are sprouting and starting to fill in the gaping soil patches so hopefully soon it will all be filled in and we can cut the grass to the same length.
Tonight for dinner I'm making Jenny-O frozen turkey burgers but they're the jalapeño ones so I'm hoping they'll taste good. I'm making mine on a sandwich thin with either swiss cheese or feta and going to load on some lettuce, tomatoes, and sautéed onions and bell peppers. I love sautéed veggies and they go wonderfully with turkey burgers :) s my side dish I'm going to make steamed cauliflower and a granola bar. Everyone else is going to have Kraft mac and cheese and some cauliflower. My boyfriend is trying to lose weight but he loves food like I love food so it's hard for him to say no and tends to over eat. I'm going to start helping him by giving him less food at dinner time. He weighed in over the weekend and he hasn't gained but the weight is still a scary number. I don't want anything happening to him so I'm going to make an effort to help him and hopefully we can get his weight down. It's hard for him to work out due to his ankle issue but maybe he can try a short walk with me on the weekends to start with. He goes to the gym with me and does weights but he isn't getting enough cardio because his ankle hurts to much and when it hurts he can't walk on it very good.
