Week 14

Monday, April 07, 2014

Week 14 was to be a test in making myself lose weight with reduced exercises.

I couldn't really walk (4.09 km total for the week) and did the 3 pushups training. What I did also is to bring bigger lunches to make sure I didn't get home so hungry I could eat a horse. I normally bring myself a lunch and 2 snacks totaling about 800 calories. This week I brought that up to at least 1000 calories. It apparently was effective in making me less hungry at night. So I was able to stay in control at dinner. I will keep doing that because even with some wine on Wednesday I stayed within calorie range from Monday to Friday. (I have decided not to track on weekends)

My aim for the week was to lose at least 0.6 pound to start eating away the gap between my actual weight and the one targeted in my very slow weight loss plan.

Well I am happy to say that not only did I lose that 0.6 pound, but managed to lose 2.1 pounds. That helps! it brings the gap between actual and target down from 6.3 pounds to 4.6

Here are the stats :

It is kind of depressing looking at those stats and seeing that in 14 weeks, I managed to lose a tiny little pound..... I was planning on having lost 5.6 pounds by that time in the year.. Got to stay focussed!

So for this week :
- track food from Monday to Friday
- keep within calorie range for that period
- I already have walked a bit too much yesterday so I'll hope to be able to walk at least once from work to the train this week.
- lose at least 0.6 pounds

Excellent work sis! I say just keep doing what you did all week and see how it goes! Who knows, maybe after a few more weeks you'll find yourself ahead of schedule!

CONGRATS on that 2.1 loss! That is a very impressive loss for one week, in my opinion, and shows that you ARE FOCUSED. Continuing to stay focused, of course, is the short term and long term goal .... and it would seem, by the results of the past week, that you are steering your ship back on course. Goodness knows we all run into storms along the way and the boat does rock, but as long we don't go down like the Titanic we are going to see the shore one day - Fer sure. emoticon
