This week I have been working in the garden, moving snow off the lawns and raking the dead grass. Now that just isn't the way it has been the last couple of years around here. This moving the snow twice really can get to the mind of someone who is looking forward to Spring being here.

Have been working with the new puppy to walk on leash, boy Whitney sure doesn't like the idea of being held back from running. Want to start walking him along with Zoe every morning. This is going to take some time and work on my part.

So as I log in my activities for the day and I see that I have gardened, raked the lawn and shoveled snow, there is one that I'm really looking forward to dropping. Shoveling Snow ! It just has to go. We need more warmer days so that it melts away once I break down those banks of snow that are all over the yard.

With all the training Sasha went through - with all the work - even at 12 years old - she still wants to run and not walk - I have noticed lately that once we get started she will calm down but not much -

I want to do a garden this year - hope I can manage at least some tomatoes and pumpkins - I love the fall and pumpkins -

I feel sorry for all of you who have to shovel snow. And that's not all there is to it, bad as that is, there's the cold, numbing you right down to the bone -- and it doesn't stay shoveled even then. Spring is definitely due!

Sounds like a real job you have on your hands, training a puppy! I'm not sure I have it in me any longer to train a puppy. The last two dogs I bought were 1 year old, and then Amber was 1-1/2 years old. Both were housebroken and leash trained. Besides that both dogs were so sweet they never ran off even when they did not have a leash to hold them back. Very unusual, from what I've observed.

Your boy Whitney will seattle down after a bit. I had the same issue with my Barnaby when we first started walking him with my little Quincy. It took awhile but he seattled down and now enjoys our walks.
I am with you!!!! Can't wait for winter to be over!!!!!!!
