Day 44 It's Not the Right Time
Saturday, April 05, 2014
Yes, this is the right time to work on healthy living. A few months back, it was not with my husband's unemployment, lacking good insurance and with my mother's hospitalizations. Now, Dave is employed, I have that full-time job with benefits (insurance!) and Mother is currently out of the hospital. Now, I would not be surprised if my mother continues to be in and out of the hospital.
So what are the current roadblocks to healthy living? And what can I do about them?
- Emotional eating - Journal, pay attention to my feelings, tell myself "I am important to me" and "My feelings do matter to me", work through the 100 Days of Weight Loss book, plan/prep/track food, try meditating
- Irregular work schedule - use my calendar, SP's Other Goals and our family's job chart to focus me on doing things in priority order
- Not being able to run - try to be patient while waiting for diagnosis and treatment plan, follow that plan, do what exercise is allowed - walking, biking, ST
- Knowing I am on call for Mother's trips to hospital and doctor (& errands) - make myself a priority outside of those times.
