Ce fait un peu francias pour moi

Saturday, April 05, 2014

A little french waltz for you all to listen to.

When translated into English the title of this piece is "Sounds a little french to me"

It was inspired by a walk along the north banks and shore of the river Loire between the cities of Angers and Nantes in western France and a day I spent in Redon in Loire Atlantique.

For me it is a portrait of the french people in sound.

I hope you enjoy this one and it has you dancing around the place.

Cheers and love to you all

Again I would like to take the opportunity of thanking you all for the lovely comments and get back to a few individuals also.

In response to "123Elaine456" I have now added a Cha Cha and will in the future add a few more of my dances to help to keep you all moving.

(The Loire area of France is wonderful but I find the Parisian and Alsatian east French accents far to difficult to follow accurately)
Il est mauvais pour quelqu'un d'aussi français que vous ne pas aller et gouter ce beau mode de vie.

Thanks to Genre009 I now have a lovely word to describe my music "Whimsical" - my wife loves that single word description.

As Exotec says Waltzes are something a little special - why - I do not know - they just seem to be. Having seen the Strauss Orchestra perform in the Vienna Garten by central station in Vienna I can only reassure Exotec's words here. Also the experience of flying Austrian Airlines where thay play almost continuous strauss waltzes over the pa system between boarding and take off.

In response to Mauri's comments There is a beautiful french waltz called "La Ronde" by Oscar Strauss which is in the format of a roundabout - there is a recurring theme that the music keeps on returning to giving the effect that you are traveling on a roundabout or dancing around the ballroom floor returning via a circle back to the place where you started every so often.

I should also like to thank "shake salot" and "puddle crazy" for their warm comments.

In response to Kylie, If you want to hear a picture of Paris Listen to Edith Piaf. Her voice paints Paris perfectly - the detail in her sound of Paris is almost photogenic.

I am glad it made you move "Crazydog" and it is indeed the wonderful consistent support from Linda that inspires me to post more for you all.

Once again thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Cheers love and respect to you all

I have to write a reply on here to the previous poster Jeanette59 as without a spark page there is no other way I can contact her so I sincerely hopes she gets back in here to read what I am about to put.

One of the most important things about writing music is that you can make something wonderful happen to somebody you have never met - who you are never likely to meet. It seems Jeanette has been a recipient of a beautiful and special thing that I had a hand by my music in creating.

None of us live forever but knowing that I can leave this stuff behind for the future generations I draw a great comfort from.

Jeanette - I do not know where you are - Somewhere in North America maybe but knowing I as a complete stranger have given you something that has developed as special as this has not only made my day - It may have made my year.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post

Cheers and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

P.S. - I hope you get a spark page real soon to give me an opportunity to thank you personally.

Ah this reminds me of Edith Piaf singing
, Simply a waltz that keeps going around and around
    Like a merry-go-round
    In the spring
    With the music swaying
    I start to dream
Till my heart is yearning to sing
Oh my love in your arms hold me tight
And we'll waltz 'round and 'round all the night

Having heard me play this beautiful piece three times in a row, my 10 year old Grandson knocked on my home office door to ask what the happy music I was playing keep this short my soccer player got his first waltz lesson. I did wisely make him take off his cleats.
Thank you for sharing this sunny waltz, which lead to what will always be a treasured memory.
