Taking A Step Back (super long kind of ranty sorry)

There is so much information out there when it comes to losing weight it can be a little overwhelming. Im taking a step back and re evaluating what works for me. Im not necessarily choosing any type of diet like I have before. I am going to make a promise to myself just to try to eat clean non processed natural foods and stop treating my stomach like a garbage can .
As far as the scale goes I am taking a break from the scale for a while. Ive realized any time I get on one of my healthy kicks I obsess over the stupid scale and get really disappointed when it doesn't move in the right direction fast enough. So instead of making a lifestyle change it only ends up being a health quick for a month or two and then I give up.
I have found some classes I really like at my gym like body sculpt and circuit training and of course I love love love zumba. Ive tried switching my schedule to going the gym in the mornings at least for cardio and I love that its empty at that time, Unfortunately the classes I like to take aren't until 6-730 at night. Im a little bit conflicted with this. I love the feeling of going to the gym in the morning and being done for the day by the time I get home from work, but then again I love the classes at night too. So im trying to rotate between the two. Last night my boyfriend brought home a mini elliptical im super excited to start using that in the morning as an option too.
On another note. I got some rubber coated dumbbells to start using at home. So my bf and I get back from the store and im putting away the gym clothes I got and I set the weights on the living room floor. we sit down to relax and I realize my dog is being very quiet (I have a pitbull). I look over to the kitchen and my damn dog is chewing apart my brand new dumbbell!!!. Please tell me how a dog picks up and 8lb dumbbell moves it to another room and rips it apart like a chew toy!! I couldn't even be mad at him though because he gave me the face and I guess they do kind of look like a dog toy.
Other than that I feel like Ive finally gotten back on track with going to the gym consistently big thanks to a g/f of mine inviting me to take a class with her at her gym and it kind of got the ball rolling from there. I will check in, in another 2 or 3 weeks and go from there. Ive finally realized this is going to be a long slow process and it wont happen over night. Consistency is key!
