Weight and Wii/ Job loss

Thursday, March 27, 2014

According to my Wii Fit, I've lost about 14 pounds. According to my scale I've lost 1. Frustrating! I would like to believe the Wii, but I think the scale is right. emoticon I don't know how to check it either. Last time I went to the doctor I didn't even look when they weighed me. I really want to know which is true. Though I know I've at least lost a little because my jeans start falling off when I walk!

I have not worked out in 5 days. I had my Mirena implant (birth control) removed so I've been having my first time of month in 5 years. Ouch. Nowhere near as bad as it used to be, but I'm not used to having one anymore so it threw me off with the cramping and all. Man, did I not miss this!

Worked out for 23 minutes today, so far, though I accidentally hit the reset button so my Wii only shows 3 of those minutes. I'm going to work out again either at lunch or after dinner. I think working out twice a day will really help get my weight down. If if the total is only 20 minutes.

My husband has lost a lot of weight, but he won't weigh to find out how much. He has to wear a belt now because his jeans will fall off otherwise. I'm so happy for him! He's not been working out, just our change in diet and portion control. I hope he starts working out soon too, that will be very good for him.

My girls (ages 6 and 7) are anxiously awaiting the coming of warmer weather so we can get back to walking. What we used to do is go walk on a track at the park that is 1 mile long and then go play on the playground and have a snack while stretched. Then we'd stay at the playground for at least 30 minutes. I miss doing that. So do the kids. I don't know what I'm going to do with them when I get in good enough shape to start running to practice for the 5K that I want to run (don't know which exact one). Will tackle that when the problem arises!

So the company that my husband works for went belly-up last week. The boss was apparently horrible at the money management and didn't have enough money to make payroll and didn't tell anyone about it till pay day. So my husband has been interviewing like crazy this week and we are hoping to get an offer letter from some of them on soon. Either way that makes a whole month where the only paycheck is my teeny-tiny one. Not good. So far everyone has agreed to work with us and let us pay a minimum and wait for full payment till he gets a paycheck, accept the cell phone carrier, which he needs to do phone interviews.
So, please pray for us that he will get a good job soon and that we will be able to catch up with our bill paying and rent soon too.
