Frustrated w/Bipolar Depression

Tuesday, March 25, 2014

Bipolar sucks! I have been so motivated that last month and lost 9 lbs now with what I gained back....it was 12. Now I can feel the depression sitting in and I have no time to put up with you!! Work, school, home, exercise, etc. Life! I have no time for you depression.
So, I'm trying to keep my head up above the water and press on. Maybe if I don't succumb the the depression it will go away. Eating right and exercising will help right?

I do not have bipolar. However, I deal with depression, anxiety, ADD....I do know that exercise helps. I also believe that if you can find a way to meditate or find any other relaxing exercise it may help.

I feel your pain! I too am bipolar and just went through the same exact thing you are going through. I gained about 7 lbs back. :(

You are right though...if you can manage it, exercise and good eating habits can help keep the worst of it at bay. If there's one thing I've noticed since I began this journey it's that regular exercise has helped my mental health in ways I could have never imagined. It doesn't by any means fix anything or make it go away. But just imagine how much worse it could be if you weren't taking care of yourself!

If you ever need a listening ear or anything don't hesitate to send me some SparkMail.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with bipolar issues.........have you checked in with a healthcare professional lately? Perhaps a tweaking in meds might be in order........I would definitely go with that good eating/exercise idea as well.....
