Three weeks since I'm back! Really only two, because the first week I was logging in and reading to get motivated but not doing much else in the tracking or activity department. Then I got my Spark Activity Tracker and things started to really heat up. (If only it had heated up enough to melt all this snow!
The past two weeks I've been doing pretty well. I am tracking my food, even on days when I am totally eating whatever my heart desires (that was some insane eating on Saturday! And so much wine on the weekend!)
I have raised my daily step goal to 6,000 from 5,000 and I've been reaching and even sometimes surpassing it! Yesterday, I got over 8,000 steps, which is incredible when you think that three weeks ago I never would have hit 1,000 on a typical day. I have started including some strength exercises into my routine. Not a lot yet, because man am I ever out of shape, but some at least. Yesterday I even did modified lunges and squats! I still can't believe I did it! My legs were like rubber after my exercise session yesterday and I can definitely feel it today, but I pushed through and I actually did it. Un-freaking-believable!
I'm not weighing myself this week, maybe next week, I'm still not sure. The number on the scale doesn't mean much to me, what does is the change that I am seeing so quickly in my figure. I am no longer looking and feeling like a big shapeless sexless box, my curves are back! My waist is decreasing and my natural hour glass figure is emerging. OMG, I am a girl still!
Before Christmas I bought a couple of sexy lingerie teddy type nighties to wear for my boyfriend on his first night back after having been away for nearly six months working. One was much less revealing than the other and I ended up wearing that one because the other one just didn't seem to fit properly in the breast area. I had major side boob, those flabby rolls of skin that don't fit in the cup and spill out the side. So even though I knew my boyfriend would really like the other one, I just put it away in my drawer with the idea that maybe by the time he had been away and come home again I'd be able to surprise him by wearing it.
Then I fell off the healthy lifestyle wagon big time and gained back all the weight I had lost plus five pounds.
As early as next week my boyfriend will be coming home again after being gone for about two months this time. Yesterday I decided to try on the other lingerie just to see how much further I need to go ... I can't believe the difference! I'm sure I am heavier than what I was the first time I tried it but there is hardly any side boob now! I may actually be able to wear this thing next week and surprise him! Holy freaking cow!
Exercise, may become my new best friend after all!
