My brand new beginning!!

Sunday, March 23, 2014

So, spring of 2014. I'm not where I was hoping to be in many ways. A new season means a new, fresh start. I am forgiving myself for the mistakes and poor choices I've made, and especially regarding my addiction to food. I followed a very strict diet plan for a full year in 2012, and I lost 80 pounds with that program. Unfortunately, it was far from realistic. They actually encouraged their members NOT to exercise!! So gradually, since the beginning of 2013, I have gained back over 50 pounds. To say I am discouraged is an understatement! However, I've been reading, reading, reading from reputable sources to correct my wrong thought processes about food, dieting, emotions, weight loss, blah, blah, blah. I've had 2 good days in a row. Scared of making the same mistakes again? Absolutely. Trying to turn to God for His help and guidance? You better believe it!! Can I do this in my own strength? Nope. I need my community of friends, fellow Christians, my family, and all of you to walk me through these baby steps...again. emoticon

Sometimes half the battle is knowing that it can be done. You know that!

This time, as you eat right and exercise, you can do it again. And this time, it will be for good!
