sunflower seeds and stress but still on track

Friday, March 21, 2014

I know that eating sunflower seeds can be a healthy snack but they sure are a lot of work. The work on those seeds met my mouth need and nervous energy after a difficult ending of the day without excessive calories.

I had a difficult last case of the day that left my head spinning and hurting for a 17 year old white female who is pregnant with a biracial baby and has a lot of prejudice from her father. On top of that father and mother are in a big custody battle over the younger daughter and the 17 is being used by the father as the reason to remove the younger child. Oh, their is so much more that I can't and wont mention involved here but my brain hurt. I am glad I didn't have to see another case afterward. I prayed all the way home for this young women who is now on an accelerated pace toward adulthood. This morning she and her parents are still on my mind and I am still praying for them and to have the right words to help them deal with these things.

I did spend some time reading Freedom Tools last evening but not much because my brain hurt. I did walk my 10,000 steps yesterday. I did spend time in my 30/30 and Feasting on God's word. I was just emotionally tired at the end of the day.
