First day of spring

Whee! I'm pretty happy that the weather is cooperating. This morning was sunny and I was able to go for a quick stroll around the block with my stepson after breakfast. Not only does it drag him away from the TV/tablet and get some fresh air in his lungs, it gets his imagination going because he gets really chatty. Plus the spent energy mellows him out and helps with quicker meal times. Yay!
Healthy eating has been going really well. Really getting in all my servings of fruit and veggies and I'm getting a wide variety going on so hopefully it gets me the maximum nutrition potential. My husband and stepson even had some salad with me last night with dinner.
The best part? With all the fruits I've been eating, I haven't really craved dessert. My poor husband was looking for dessert last night after dinner but we mixed a bit of peanut butter with vanilla yogurt and had that with strawberries, blackberries and bananas. It was very satisfying.
Working out is going well too. Still alternating legs, arms and abs. Hoping that my husband and I can go for another walk later when he gets home from work. Maybe even get in some spurts of jogging. We'll see. I try not to tire the poor man out too much so that he'll be motivated to keep going.
I'm on the right track for good results at my next check up. I really do hope I've got my blood pressure back under control. I've lost a pound and that's supposed to help. Hopefully can drop the last 5 to make it into the healthy BMI range.
