My First 5K was FUN!!! (Some pics too)

Monday, March 17, 2014

Yesterday I attended my first 5k and I had a blast! I walked/jogged it. It took me 61 minutes to complete. It felt so good when I came to the finish line. I felt like, "hey...I can do this!" There was music and so much fun! I am definitely motivated to do another one. My family had lots of fun also.

There were all kinds of people there...just about every fitness level. Kids in strollers being pushed while their parents jogged, pregnant women, kids, teens, etc. This elderly woman flew jogging right past me. She was awesome! I want to be like that! She was inspiring. I wish I could have gotten her name, but I couldn't catch up to her. emoticon The atmosphere was super friendly. Not everyone jogged. Many people just walked at a fast pace. We talked with so many people. Everyone there had the same have FUN!

I meet up with Nikki (Starlight615) who I meet here on SP. She has been so good to me. She motivated me and gave me tips. It was awesome. I was so glad that we were able to meet up in that sea of people. She definitely motivated me.
Thanks Nikki!

If anyone is thinking of doing a 5K, I would highly recommend it! It was worth it! I am ready to sign up for another one.
