As sexy as . . .

. . . Usain Bolt.
That's how I felt on my run today, wearing my Sun Run running tights. No one else knew of course, as I wore windbreaker pants over them--it's still late winter here. But the tights did what I needed them to do. Wearing them was a motivation to get out there and start my training for the 10k Sun Run. It'll have to be a highly-accelerated training--I should have started several weeks ago and the Run is just 6 weeks away.
I'm carrying almost 20 pounds more than I was when I did the run last year; I'm so out of shape that I could only include 8 1-minute running intervals in my 40-minute session. My walking pace was fairly brisk, though, and I felt good at the end of the session so I think I'll be hitting much more reasonable running intervals in a few days.
Also got back together with my old pal, the Nutrition Tracker today. Gosh, I missed him. He's the only one who really tells it like it is!
Having done some exercise and stretched out afterwards and had a shower, I feel so invigorated that I shake my head in disbelief that I let myself get out of the fitness habit. Here's to being back on track and staying there!
