Estuary Hike

Friday, March 14, 2014

Squamish Estuary who knew it was so large and that it has different trails almost like separate parks. In the morning I went out with Dalhouise hiking the newer section on the west side of the channels for about two hours - came home ate lunch

and then went out again with Noni and Dalhouise for another two and half hours. The second section is on the eastern side of the river and channel closer to town and the first developed.
Birds were there but not as many as I would expect - it was warm but the wind certainly was cooler when we first started out but we warmed up quickly as we moved.
Almost surprised a naked lady...
I was taking some pictures - talking to Noni and then walked a few steps and came unto an opening / beach area and there was a young lady standing with a towel wrapped around her and her clothes in a pile nearby. Was she naked maybe not -- but I think so.
It is too cold to swim - but I think she was sun bathing - trying to get a jump on her tan.
She seemed to be embraced - but who knows..
By the time we returned home Noni was getting sore again so today's length was just the right hike for her..

trail footing

Dalhouise for those who like me think he is so adorable

then I came home to BBQ our supper
