I am clawing my way out of the depths...the snow is almost gone which really helps. I've started with a new trainer three times a week whose practice focuses on Fascial Stretch Therapy. I'm hoping she can work on releasing my lower back and hip so I can really walk again. In the meantime, we are focusing on ST for my core and upper body.

I am continuing to practice a 90% paleo food plan although I do consume dairy. Some paleo practitioners allow that dairy has been part of the human diet for over 10,000 years and some groups have adapted to it. I greatly reduced it for six months but I didn't have problems with dairy before and certainly don't now. My nails have gotten really weak; since I don't absorb nutrients well anyway, I felt I needed to reinstate dairy to my meal plan. I am hoping that this will help with muscle recovery and healing.

My weight crept up 5 pounds this winter. I have until August to lose about 30#. My youngest has set the date for her wedding...August 16th. Time to get serious.

    I found I also need the dairy or I otherwise get horrible cramping.
