Derailment (2014 - Blog #71)

Thursday, March 13, 2014

I adore trains!!! If I could travel all the time on a train, I would make that happen. In fact, I will be doing that quite a bit when I get to Europe next week. And this got me to thinking about my own "train trip" to health...

Once I set my eyes on the end game, i keep the train pretty much on track. But, oh yeah... oh darn... oh phooey, I have derailments. The good thing about minor derailments in most train situations is that we may get some bumps and bruises, but the train is eventually put back on its track and the trips moves forward.

And I have had a minor derailment in the past 5 days. I allowed for work to take over and I derailed on my gym time. Ok. Time to call in the derailment crew to put me back on track!!!

Quote of the day

The first day back is the hardest. After that it just gets easier, especially when you had a successful, satisfying return to exercise work out.

Have a wonderful trip! I traveled by train through Austria and Germany in July and August and had wonderful experience! And I'm sure you'll get back "on track" soon!

Funny how 'life' gets in the way of best laid 'rails'...
Every day as emoticon an opportunity to chose or as my dear 3D friend tells me, "get it right"

That train will slip easily back onto its rails, and I can hear your body calling "YES!" when it does!

Derailment is such a good term for what it's like to let go of our healthy lifestyle goals! Thanks for the perspective and glad you are back "on track!"

Perhaps your impending trip has you on over-drive with getting things done at work. You are a very responsible person. Dotting the I's and crossing the T's so everything runs as smoothly as possible is part of who you are.

How long are you going to be in Europe and where exactly are you going? I don't remember you saying anything about this.

I LOVE train travel and do it by choice frequently. It helps being smack in between Boston and D.C. We utilize the Northeast Corridor.

I also love the analogy. Sometimes I get totally side-tracked and need to get back on track!

That is the thing about going on holiday. You have to do all this work beforehand so you can get away!
It won't take long to get back into the swing of things. And what is your plan for while you are away?
