Better To Blog It Than Eat It

I don’t know why I’m so friggin’ nervous about my 5k this Saturday, but I am. I’ve done one before, but even then I was super nervous.

Here are some reasons why, they may be silly and ridiculous. You’ve been warned.

What if my heart bursts during the race? emoticon
What if I get lightheaded? emoticon
What if I don’t beat my previous 5k time? emoticon
What if I get really hungry? emoticon
What if I collapse? emoticon
What if I’m the absolute last person that crosses the finish line? emoticon

See, I told you they were silly and ridiculous. Doesn’t mean I’m not feeling them though! I haven’t gotten to a place of absolute panic, but I’m very apprehensive of how well I’ll do.

It’s better to blog your feelings than eat them right?

    Well, I think my views have pretty well been summed up in the comments you've already been given. But I will say, take back your thought power. You can only think about something as long as you allow that idea/thought to stay in your head. You blogged about your feeling and you are sooooooo right . . . that's better than feeding them with food, because food isn't going to help!

    You made the right choice to blog. Your feelings ARE real! BUT you have the power to move ahead, to get this done. to DO IT!!! Go, girl!

    Two ways to look at this: If you do any of those things except your time goal, you will be a headline,,if you don't.t so what?

    What if you get a buzz from the adrenaline rush?

    What if you smile and enjoy the blessing of being able to run, walk, etc?

    What if...
    Once you get on the street with the other runners, you will be so pumped, you will be in the right frame of mind...

    You'll get to go to Heaven OR introduce a loved one to a fabulous Dr.

    "What if I get lightheaded?"

    Being lightheaded is a GREAT high!

    "What if I don’t beat my previous 5k time?"

    You'll have a goal for your next race!

    "What if I get really hungry?"

    You'll have something to look forward to at the end.

    "What if I collapse?"

    Again, Fabulous Dr!

    "What if I’m the absolute last person that crosses the finish line?"

    You will be the last WINNER!!!!

    Absolutely. Try telling yourself it is just another training run. Start out that way. Remind yourself that you've been training and this race is your victory lap!! Helps me. Best wishes. Have a great race. Don't worry about whether you are first or last, just listen to your body and run the way it is feeling it on race day!!

    you betcha! and you're going to do great! omg! and you may actually even ENJOY it! i would focus more on attitude than time; if you smile, feel light, and optimistic, the time will fall into place. i trust we will hear a wonderful story! emoticon
