I think I can

Saturday, March 08, 2014

I think I can finally reward myself. It is very hard for me to spend money on myself. I have watched people set goals and rewards for when they have hit them. I just could never convince myself to spend money on something I wanted and didn't need. But lately I have started to change, kind of. Recently I some Starter Dri Star pants for running when colder out. Clearance priced $5. I have also bought a wrist HRM. Was very cheap, but seems to work well. Last week I bought the Hip Hop Abs video and yesterday a kettle bell. Today ordered 3 bike helmets from amazon and Looking at buying a exercise bike and a bike to ride to work. Now the best part of all the cost of all this will be $0.
Let me explain, I do online surveys on the side in my spare time. I figure a buck here and a buck there will add up at some point. That some point has come. I cashed in about $650 for the mentioned items and in my mind I am ok with that. It was "free" money and is not coming out of our account so it doesn't bother me that much to spend it. The bike should pay for itself in fuel saved just riding it to work. Still need to order another 20 pound kettlebell, so I better go and get it ordered. Oh no, I'm a shopper!!!!

Wow, that's impressive! And biking to work saves not just fuel costs, but wear and tear on the car/maintenance costs, and gets you extra workout time. You are one disciplined person.
