That damn scale

I have stepped on the scale once a week every week for over a month and it has not budged AT ALL. While this is usually incredibly frustrating, at first I was confused thinking I plateaued so I tried a few things to get over that hump but the scale still did not move. Then I just began to ignore the number and focus more on how I felt (pretty good) and how my clothes were fitting (slightly looser). Still that number is hard to ignore. Usually if it moves in ANY direction I am relieved because I know I either have made progress, or gained muscle mass, or have room fro improvement, etc. but not moving at all is just darn frustrating. Then my boss asked me yesterday if I had lost weight. Made my day! I can't really tell since I see myself all the time, but he had been out of the office off and on for about two weeks so we kept missing each other. Made me pretty darn happy and I made sure to tell the scale this entire story when I stepped on this morning and it hadn't moved!
