The unintentional rest week....

After blazing through my goals last week - the 4th week in my gradual plan to get fit - this week has been quite the bust...

I've been tired and headachy...equal parts weather change, hormonal swings and recovery from the kids' February break (which I managed alone, as usual, as DH's work schedule flipped on a dime and expected time off was not to be had).

I set out my workout clothes last night, feeling excited to hit the treadmill for some HIIT this morning....but my little guy woke up with a tummy ache and a pretty impressive fever at 2:30 a.m emoticon

.....so with about 3 hrs sleep total, the treadmill was the last thing on my mind.... emoticon

Anyway, in keeping with my refusal to let dumb little things like missing my arbitrary goals one week out of 5, I'm callin' it a rest week, and leaving it at that! emoticon

I know the healing and recharging that my body is doing now will pay off in greater energy and stamina next week, so it's all good. Will still try to log a couple of medium-level workouts before Sunday, and look at next week as a 'shall we continue?' moment.

Having said all of that, still meeting some of the more important goals, such as remaining AF (Day #30 today....although I'm not counting by the day at all), keeping food choices clean and healthy, planning meals and cooking more.

Early to bed tonight, looking forward to a full sleep! emoticon
