I’m jumping all over the place SparkBuddies, hold on tight!

Yesterday evening my co-worker and I went to a trampoline center for our evening workout. When we first started jumping, it was a lot of fun but then the exhaustion kicked in. HA! We had a blast despite our being out of shape and I’ll definitely be going back for the trampoline class that they offer weekly. What surprised me was how many different parts of my body were involved in simply jumping. My core, legs and feet were sore by the time we were done but it felt great! I’m all for finding new ways to exercise.

Since the Oscars, I’ve been on a kick this week of watching the films that won the golden statues themselves. So far, I’ve watched BLUE JASMINE, GRAVITY and DALLAS BUYERS CLUB. Since I’ve been in a show, I haven’t been able to go to the movies (save for seeing THE LEGO MOVIE) so it has been a nice way to relax and unwind. My favorites thus far are BLUE JASMINE and DALLAS BUYERS CLUB. I can’t even begin to describe how much I enjoyed them and how impressed I am with stories. Really great writing and really great work by all of the actors involved.

For some reason I needed to take a walk and that is exactly what I did during my break yesterday. I found I was able to get 1.5 miles in and to tell the truth, I really enjoyed it. The area around my building is very nice and paved nicely as well, which is great. I found it calmed me and helped with the temptation of smelling my co-worker’s delicious food.

Although I’m not Catholic, Lutheran, etc I am a Christian and occasionally give up things for Lent if I feel I need to focus on God a lot more. Lately, I’ve tried to get back to my religion and find it has been very rewarding for me. I’ve definitely missed it and have been praying a lot more than I was before. Sometimes when things get so bad, you forget God is there, you feel like God isn’t even listening. SO. NOT. TRUE. He’s there; He is simply listening to you. Anyway, I have given up coffee for Lent which I think will really help keep me focused on God and will be healthier for me anyway. With my Depression, I’ve found that coffee makes things worse and really gets my anxiety going. Who needs that?!

I saw a trampoline class on YouTube. It looked so fun but be careful. I've had a coworker damage both feet from being on the trampoline. I can't remember what he broke/pulled/bent, but he had to have surgery. Great job walking! I can't wait for the weather to get better so I can walk outside. I miss walking on my lunch breaks. emoticon emoticon emoticon Good luck with Lent.

You sound great. I have a mini trampoline, and sometimes I'll crank up the music and jump to my heart's content.

I didn't see many of the movies, either. August: Osage County is great. I saw that play a couple of years ago. The movie was a different experience -- interestingly enough, it was even more intimate than the stage production because of the camera close-ups. Her was the most unusual movie that I have ever seen. My husband and I are still talking about it.

Good walking there -- I wish that you were closer -- I need a walking buddy and haven't gotten out much lately, although Sparky (the SPAT) keeps me moving.

    xoxo

Trampoline sounds like a BLAST! Glad you found something fun to do = ) I've enjoyed walking at lunch, but there's been too much snow and ice to do that... I have yet to see ANY of those movies... I want to see all of them, and I know I will eventually. So glad things are going well. *HUGS*
