Sure I can! Shave my head!
Boxed myself into a corner with a totally random and implusive booking of a trip to Hawaii in April. My sis has a house there and may need help after a minor procedure and I am bound and determined to get a plan in place to get moved over there sooner then later. Taking my hubs so he can get a feel for the island and get the idea cemented in his mind too.
Hover at the 158/160 mark for months now. 160 This a.m. and annoyed last summers clothes are now uncomfortably snug. I was in 10's last summer but preferred the extra breathing room of the 12's....now the 12's are a necessity. Found myself buying all Black stretch maxi dresses at TJ the other day! LOL Such a 'great' idea in Hawaii, eh? Probably better suited for New York. Rarely see people in all Black in Hawaii!
Worked out only 8 days in Feb, determined to get in at least every other day in March. If my caregiving schedule will allow . I find myself being as quiet as possible in the mornings and letting my mom sleep until noon, honestly, because that is less hours in the day I'll have to deal with her. She has been doing ok-ish. I've somewhat adjusted to the extra hygeine care she requires (I have been harping at her daily to sit on the toilet after breakfeast/lunch but it takes sooo much energy to make the arguement point everyday starting to wonder which is more tiring; cleaning poopy problems or forcing her onto the can!) Other then that my biggest frustration is communication, as much as she wants to say something, it's mostly babble. She insists I stop whatever I am doing and look DIRECTLY into her eyes each time she has something to say, as if that will help me read her mind. Her biggest past time before the stroke was non stop chatter, so this must be a special hell for her. After I make a few guesses all I say all day long is, "I don't know what you are saying". Eventually she will say "Nevermind!"
There are some humorous moments each day that usually crack me up. Last night she was trying to tell my husband something and it sounded like she said, "You are a Lego". Made me immediately think of the Eddie Izzard bit and we went around all night laughing and saying "It's AMERICAn, It's SLANG....he's a LEGO, hey, he's a F&Cking Lego". Sorry guess you had to be there for that one.
ANYHOW....must start charting workouts and find a way to plan some foods. Everyday is the same for me; Fresh squeezed grapefruit juice/Protein /Green Smoothie mid day/something RANDOM at night. Food has lost it's allure for me, we are so burned out thinking to think of grocery needs and 'what to eat' , we wait until the last minute and eat something dumb. Obviously THAT isn't working out for me and my belly fat!
Ok, enough of the excuses, maybe I'll try getting my mom into gear sooner today as I feel I must have her up and settled again before I put in my 1.5 or 2 hour Yoga Booty Ballet dvd. I MUST REGAIN my arm definition before April! lol
