Alone is best

I have decided the best way to survive this life is to avoid making friends. If you tell them a truth they don't want to hear, they turn on you. If you don't think like they do, they turn on you. I will just live my life secluded with my only real contact with my family, which on any given day isn't any better.

Those kind of people aren't real friends. Real friends don't turn their back on you when you disagree. They embrace your differences and love you in spite of them. They accept you for who you are flaws and all. Keep searching you will find true friends. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Diane, I am sorry that someone has made you feel that way. Some people are not good people, yes that is true, but don't give up on friendships. I am quite introverted and like spending time alone but I also think that friendship is a very valuable commodity. If someone has treated you poorly, they are not really a friend....

I am sorry you are experiencing that - friends are sometimes a challenge but for me are also a true and invaluable blessing

Those folks were never your friend, seclusion is absolutely no fun. So brush yourself off and hang with your buddies here! emoticon
