Going Up

Well, it’s been a month and a half since I started working out and eating healthier. The fruits of my labors are thus:

No change in physical dimensions based on the measuring tape reading.

Four pounds gained based on the scale reading.

More strength and endurance based on my muscles not saying “no can do” during the more difficult exercises and my body not feeling like a limp, trembly noodle after a workout.

So. Apparently I meant it when I said baby steps. But that’s okay. Change takes time. My motto for the month will be a quote from Jillian: “You *can* do this. You just have to push.”

My focus hasn’t changed for this month, but it has narrowed. Or come into sharper focus, maybe. I know I need to add a few more cals and eat at scheduled times, whether I’m hungry or not. I know I need to ramp up my workouts. 30 mins a day (not including stretching) is not going to cut it.

So, up I go! More cals, more cardio, more strength. Up, up, up! Let’s fly!
