Here's what I've been up to for the last eight months....

Tuesday, February 25, 2014

I have been:
emoticon To London and had a "smashing" time

emoticon Skiing a couple of times (Hubby's knee is FINALLY good to go!)

emoticon Eating more baked goods than Mama Cass ever did

emoticon Discovering shopping, NYC style

emoticon Enjoying the "Beer Culture" of Fort Collins

emoticon Walking for exercise when we all know I'm a RUNNER

emoticon Visiting Thomas Jefferson's abode

emoticon Not liking what I see in the mirror

emoticon Traveling through Atlanta to see "Girl with a Pearl Earring"

emoticon Spending tons of time on family research and building a family tree

emoticon Flying so much I actually earned status with Delta

emoticon Christmas shopping on Chicago's Miracle Mile

emoticon Gaining a ton of weight

Bottom line- I've had my fun and now I need to stop doing all of the wrong things and start doing all of the right things so that by the end of August I am not ashamed of how I look and can enjoy the THREE upcoming weddings in the family. Besides, I haven't been very happy anyway. Giving yourself permission to eat and drink what you want makes you fat, sluggish, indolent, depressed and you have spend $$ on new clothes! I have a closet full of super cute stuff. It's calling me. I'm coming!

Most of us wander off the healthy lifestyle road from time to time. The IMPORTANT thing is that you found your way back to it and you're headed in the right direction. Know we're still right alongside you, cheering you on!

Loved your 8 month report. I did some similar things (Jefferson's house, Italy(re-injured my scoped knee), gained weight, hating the mirror, forced to buy a few new (bigger! blah!) clothing items which I plan to discard soon because they'll be too big!! Also got bitten by the genealogy bug....but I'm striving to move more & sit less..so that's a bit of a conflict.

Will you return to running? You had a very ambitious fitness plan & it worked! Just Work It Again!

And keep us entertained with your blogs...I really missed 'em! emoticon

There is NO ONE more determined than you. I am so glad you are back Sparking! I have definitely been Sparking more selectively (ignoring stuff that is annoying or depressing, LOL). The only thing missing was YOU!
