Well, so far so good, the change in my food choices is going well, I have lost several pounds and am very happy with my success thus far. I am going to the gym tonight with a fellow sparker, and am very excited to get started. I joined a gym about a month ago, with my work schedule, along with a temporary set back with my aching back, I am on the way to including some exercise into my new journey. I know this won't be easy with my crazy 13 hr days, I won't be able to fit the gym into my schedule for 5 days at a time, however I hope that going to the gym when my work schedule allows I will start to notice a difference in my energy level and how my clothes fit. For the weight that I have lost so far, I can see a difference in the way the clothes are looking on me, can't wait to get closer to my goal and hopefully the energy level will come along soon.

    Thanks for the encouraging words. I have a very physical job, I am on my feet and moving constantly during my 13 hr day, however my body has come accustomed to what I do on a daily basis and it doesn't look at it as anything exercise related. I try to get any extra snippets as you refer to them anytime I can, I park as far away from the door as I can. To be honest after being on my feet all day on concrete floors and being away from home including commute time I am gone from home over 14 hrs a day, so it doesn't leave much time for snippets nor sitting down and watching television. I am meeting with a trainer to help me get the biggest bang for my time when I can work out. Still working out a routine, slow and steady finishes the race. emoticon

    It sounds like you're doing a good job planning around your work schedule and trying to make a realistic plan. I'm in school almost all day (nothing compared to your days!) on two days of the week, and I just use my bike commute as my only exercise those days. While most people go to the gym strong on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, then peter out after that, my gym days are Thursday, Friday, and Satruday. Do what works for you, even if it's way different than what everyone else does.

    All you can do is the best that you can. Shame on anyone who asks for more. Some exercise is better than none. Who knows, with time, you may find that you can get in some little'snippets' of exercise in your busy day. You'll find yourself looking for those miniutes. GYm time is nice but what bout when you're home? Bet you can find some minutes while watching tv or ironing to walk in place or do some calf raises. Good Luck!!
