Is this real????

So I shared with you my terrible week during the ice storm and that I gained 1/2 lb during that week. Well i went to work this past week and weighted Wed and Thursday in the morning before I ate anything and I was down to 216.2lbs. Really?!?!?! Is that even possible? I did walk 3 days that week and really watched what I ate. But really????? That is an 8.3lb loss in a week, well not even a week. I had several of the other girls at work weight too just to make sure the scale wasn't off, and their weight was the same as it's always been ( they weren't trying to lose weight). So I don't know.
I'm wondering if it's because it's that time of the month. I have noticed over the last several months that I've been tracking my weight, that when I get ready to start I lose weight. So I guess the true test will be this week. Will the scale say the same or less or ... more? emoticon

    Maybe some is a little bit of water weight? Have you been drinking more water? Hydration leads to letting bloat go. Either way, congrats on the loss!

    Sometimes it happens like that. I know I went 3 weeks with no loss then lost 5 lbs in 2 days. Your body does strange things and it doesn't work in a line. There are times it will hold onto everything then just let go. So the weight falls off quickly.

    Don't argue with it just be happy. :)

    That's what low carbers call a WHOOSH!

    Biochemistry is not the same as inorganic chemistry. Your fat cells are not simple little storage tanks that empty and fill with inert matter. The latest thinking is that your fat cells collectively are actually an organ in their own right; they are very active biologically! You are never going to lose (or gain, for that matter) on a steady, plottable line.
