Slowing Down This Journey

Sunday, February 23, 2014

I'm someone who has to jump in 100%. The problem is...I can't stay 100% for any real length of time. I was reflecting on this yesterday and have realized a few things about myself.

1. I'm 40 years old and thing like my knees...hurt when I do too much. (I've noticed my knees hurt when I don't modify TurboFire workouts).

2. I'm closer to 200 lbs than 150 lbs. I need to respect my body by easing into workouts now. I used to be able to jump into to something, but now I need to give my body time to adjust to it!!

3. I need to make gradual changes. I'm going to back to running, but I'm going to tackle it like I'm a beginner training for a 5k. It's been a while since I've run and my body needs to adjust.

4. I need to change my eating habits. I've known this, but I need to make gradual changes so I don't feel like I'm turning my world upside down!

little steps done consistently make a big change. Just tweak one or two things, get them to be a habit, then go for another. Good luck on running.
