Life is a 3-Ring Circus

This is my life right now:
My husband and I had his two kids for the holiday weekend, but they live 6 hours away so getting them back to their mom's involved a trip to the airport Monday night. This is actually WAY better than driving halfway, but still the upheaval is there.
Short weeks are always crazy work weeks, but this marks the 3rd or 4th (or 5th?) week of working 10ish hours a day. And I have work email on my phone now and will be traveling...starting in 2 weeks.
Last night we found out that my 9-yr-old stepson was allowed to stay home sick from school this week. At least one of the days he was left alone. And then (without understanding what he was doing) did a whip-it. Excellent parental supervision happening there..... ugh. So, enter family drama.
And we host a church group potluck gathering every week. And I'm PMSing. And this weekend we are celebrating my husband's birthday. And next week we have more extra church/community stuff scheduled. And I had a conversation with my mom today where she told me she's stopped smoking for 2 straight months which is AWESOME!! Less awesome is how she now feels that she can get on me about my weightloss efforts since she is taking action to improve her health.
I don't even really have time to blog about this right now. And truly, I'm not complaining...But I need to exhale as I'm just learning how to deal. With everything. At the same time. Cue the music and the lights and watch me juggle!!
I don't want to make excuses about being too busy. I don't want to prioritize everything else above my own health. In my downtime, I've missed SparkPeople. I haven't so much missed tracking everything, but I DO miss feeling better. As my husband said, "I haven't been tracking my food, but I've been tracking how much tighter my pants feel!" I'm not excited to step on the scale and whip out the tape measure tomorrow, but I want to stop the gain from creeping up any more than it already has. I've heard that saying, "Someone who is busier than you is running right now." Sounds like BS at the moment, lol, but I understand that excuses aren't what move you forward - Actions do.
