That was the day I first found SP and what a blessing that was. I was 285 pounds and just didn't move much at all. Knowing that making a New Years resolution just never did much for me. I looked around the internet during Jan. and everyone seemed to want money. My neighbor came home from work all excited about a site that people at her work where telling her about. She knew of my search and knew this was right for me.
So out to the site we went. It all sounded so wonderfully great. I could start moving my body and track it and follow a healthy eating plan. I set goals but wasn't sure how or if I'd make them happen. By May I was down about 30 pounds. And was walking about a mile a day. It didn't seem like much, but it was a beginning.
Here it is 2-21-14 and I have been able to keep off some of the weight by sticking with SP. I have gotten myself a Spark Activity Tracker and have found that to be one of the biggest motivational toys one could ever want. Things where moving along great when in Jan. my computer died and I was lost for three weeks because I couldn't see what I was doing with the tracker. Got the computer back and I'd put on 7 pounds. No, I'm going in the wrong direction. Got started once again tracking and one day I couldn't find my tracker. So back to tracking those things that I was doing but not getting all those little work outs that I'd built into my day.
Happy to say that I have found my Tracker and read a motivating blog and I'm feeling strong! Ready to get back to doing the SP Healthy Living Lifestyle Changes once again.
I am not going to set far out goals for myself, but will keep it simple and give myself enough time to work the fat off the body. I may be a turtle at losing weight, but since I have been with SP I have not put all the weight back on by Feb. As long as I don't see that ugly 285 # again I'm happy. This year I do not want it to be me still sitting at 260 ! Here goes my very long term goal is to lose by Feb 21, 2015 50 pounds.
I have since Aug when I got my tracker moved my walking up from 3,500 steps up to 8,000 steps daily. I'm not going to walk it back like I want to because I know that with a couple of weeks I will have built it back up to that 8,000 steps. This morning I was tired of walking in place and it is raining on top of an iced over walk-way. So managed to get the walk in with the pup for the 1 mile. Will get on the bike, and start building myself back up. So we are close to my long term goal I set when I got my tracker which is to lose 30 pounds by April 10,2014. I'm going to keep working toward that goal seeing that I only have 6 pounds to lose to reach that goal.
Now to work on setting short term goals as the year moves forward. One goal I'm going to be keeping is to meet the Spark Activity Tracker Challenge Monthly ! I just love to watch how I make it at the end of the month and see my standing with my other SP Friends !
So here goes. Moving forward, holding nothing back and feeling like this time this is my year to make my long term goal !
