Well hubby is looking for a job. We are 6 weeks out from his last day and he is beginning to become restless. He has been to several websites and has a second step with one on Thursday. When we were threatened with some really bad weather, I asked him to drive me to work and pick me up. That was two days. I just knew I did not want to be there 11 hours and fight a hard rain with possible sleet on the way home. Well now weather is much better and he gets up and informs me that he and Coco are taking me to work. He has dinner ready for me when we get home. I think he does all of this to make himself feel useful when not working. He has always been a great provider and he is feeling a little lost without the income. We have planned our retirement but he knows we need a couple of more years of employment for it to work.... right now the Obomacare is taking its toll on our funds as his insurance is really expensive with no income.

I had a client that made a remark to me "We are going to be the homeless family with great insurance coverage" She advised they could not afford the premiums and make the mortgage payment...

Difficult situation. I'm glad that your husband is not sitting around feeling sorry for himself. Although he is not providing financially as he did previously, he seems to be taking the domestic burdens off of your shoulders. Good on him!

When I was "downsized", I registered with a temporary agency. I worked steadily (and on the same contract) for 3 years. I know that may not be idea; but it does keep you active. Hang in there!

Ow. I hope everything changes for the better and the government figures out what they are going to do without hurting us to much. Good luck. emoticon
