Day 1: Big achievements start with small streaks

Well, I've got a three-day streak going, in terms of logging calories. I've faithfully and truthfully logged everything I've put into my mouth since Sunday, and I've come in under my goal every day. Granted, today was stressful and a higher percentage of my total intake came from ice cream, but...hey. I still came in under budget. (And I ate a very healthful lunch!)

It simply wasn't possible to exercise today, so I didn't guilt myself about it. I will try again tomorrow.

I feel cautiously optimistic about the future, but it's still one day at a time. I'm actually kind of looking forward to weighing on Sunday!

    Great job, my friend! It's nice to see you refocusing so well after your rough patch. I've been through a pretty extended one as well and appreciate what an achievement it is to have not regained a massive amount of weight, even if we're not exactly where we'd like to be. I know some people rely on exercise for their endorphin rush, but I'm one of those people who need to toss it (well, not quite toss it, but scale it way back) when I've got too many stressors stirring my pot.
