This past week has been terrible for me. Well, not really terrible but hard at the very least. We got a pretty nice ice storm followed by an earthquake. The earthquake was minor compared to the ice storm ( at least for my area). I thought mom and I had prepared for the ice storm as far as our food choices but I found myself not happy with anything and nothing satisfied. Of course my dad wanted my mom to make a chocolate cake so she did. Of course it's not low carb so neither one of us could eat it. Then Friday was Valentine's Day and she made sugar cookies with homemade buttercream icing for the kids. And yes, we couldn't eat those either. :(
We only lost power for about 6 hours or so, which we were very lucky in that. But our internet kept going out and was out for several days. It stressed me out because that meant I couldn't do my school work and I had several things that needed to be entered.
Good news, we got our power and our internet on so things are starting to return back to normal.
I weighted today and have actually gained 1/2 lb. :( Not what I was going for. I was actually hoping to lose weight. But there is no one to blame but myself. As much down time as I had you would have thought I would have been doing some exercises. But I didn't. Truth be told I really didn't feel like. But now I'm even more disappointed in myself and ready to kick butt this week.
So my plan is if my youngest daughter ever takes a nap then I will go for a walk today. It's nice out and I want to take advantage of the nice weather and some quiet time. Haven't had either one all week. :) LOL.
So, the goal this week....
1. Walk at least 3-4 times during the week (probably today, Monday, Friday, and Sat)
2. Get back on track with my food choices ( make some things ahead of time for the rest of the week)
3. Get in some type of exercise other than the walking in during the week
4. Do the challenge exercises in one of my Spark Teams
5. Lose at least 2-3lbs this week. = HARD WORK!
So I did get to do my walk today.
I actually walked further than I thought I was going too, which made me feel GREAT!
I walked 2.48 miles, and according to my Cardio Trainer App I burned 339 calories :)
Tonight mom made a ham ( without the glaze & pineapple), Faux mashed potatoes, green beans, and I made Drop Cheddar Biscuits. Everything was really good. I think I will try to make the No bake Cheesecake I saw someone post about. Been craving something sweet and something with chocolate.
