thursday--the magic of the post it note

Thursday, February 13, 2014

good morning everyone! think its supposed to be at least a reasonable temp this morning so I am going to the park. really need some fresh air and sunshine.
today is day 42 of my spark streak--I have logged on and tracked my food every day during this time, and my exercise too. the thing that helps me stay consistent is the little stack of post it notes I keep right beside the puter. each day I tear half of a post it and write the number of the day (42 today) and put it in a little pile. its a very simple, visual reminder of my success so far. and it only takes a second to do. I got this idea from "mostmom" who does something similar. its a super simple thing but I have found it to be really valuable--so if you are trying to stay consistent, this might help.
more painting ahead today--and trying to stay relaxed and focused as the nursing home saga with my dad continues. he liked the one he saw yesterday but now isn't sure he wants to move into one. going to take him to see the one that is very close to me tomorrow.
so I need to get as much done as possible today because tomorrow is going to be basically a washout.
have a lovely Thursday!

I hope you had a grand walk/run outside today!! I know about the post-it note reminder from mostmom too! Glad to see it's helping you!! We have been inundated with snow here - about 12" so far today. I am home "sparking" - no school today!!

Good luck on the nursing home hunt. That must involve a lot of emotions for everyone involved.

Have fun at the park. Are you running? We have to enjoy these temps while we can -- and be thankful we're not part of that huge storm to the south and east.

I like your idea about the post it notes. It does help to make things visual.

    Have an awesome day!!
