Hello everyone! I hope everyone is having a great day! Finally I little bit warmer weather were I live! YAY!! I got my work out in last night only for about 30 minutes or so but hey atleast I did something. I have noticed my work out buddy doesn't like to push her self in the gym and it drives me crazy! I tell her lets do 20 minutes on the treadmill, and bike then 10 minutes on the elliptical cause that's usually what I do when I go by myself and she wanted to give up 5 minutes into our walk I tried to push her but she wouldn't budge she insisted we move on to something else. So I told her I was going to atleast get a mile in on the treadmill and 2 miles in on the bike which I did but she was so impatient! That's the whole point of going to the gym with someone is so that you can push each other! So I have came to conclusion that I get a better work out in when I go to the gym by myself I just put in my headphones, crank up the jams, and go! On the treadmill lately I have noticed I can run a lot longer then when I first started. I try to rotate one song ill walk and then one song I will run and I think it helps me out a lot! Ive been getting a mile in, in about 13 minutes which that is pretty darn good for me:)

I had class today then I went straight to the gym! I got a great work out in and I feel so refreshed! I am kind of nervous for tomorrow, its my cheat meal day and I already know where we are going to go out to eat (Buffalo Wild Wings). But we aren't going till about 10 at night! So I don't know how my eating will play out tomorrow! I want to try to stay around my calorie range for the day. So I will probably have my breakfast essential for breakfast and then an apple with peanut butter for lunch then probably another apple about 6:30 to hold me over till I go to dinner! with my cheat meal tomorrow I will definitely be going to the gym during the day! I don't want to over do it and have two dinners! Any suggestions on my eating for tomorrow?

Heres what I ate today:
-breakfast essential drink

-apple with peanut butter
-can of tuna

-Grilled chicken
-Rice with broccoli in it
-Sautéed green beans

- ill probably take my 2 cookies to work! I have noticed having a small sweet snack once a day helps me not crave sugars!!

- Only water!

    You had most of you calories at dinner yesterday. If that's your big meal of the day, I'd suggest you do what I do for pot lucks. Have a small dinner at home before you go. You could have a nice big salad with a small serving of lean protein at dinner time. Have an apple at 9PM and just have an appetizer size serving at the restaurant. When faced with restaurant menus that don't offer healthy choices you don't have to eat an entire meal there.
    Focus on enjoying your time with your friends and don't dwell on the food.

    Hey, Ashley! Don't be nervous- one meal out at a restaurant isn't going to take down all of the effort you've been putting in. You got this!

    Way to go on keeping at the gym despite your friend's lack of enthusiasm! I know that SP encourages workout buddies, but I tend to do better on my own, too.

    As for your meal tomorrow, maybe crunch on some veggies isntead of another apple? Carrots, celery, broccoli,w hatever it is that you like. It's more variety and will make sure that you're getting in enough kinds of nutrients. ( Eating the same exact thing every day can lead to nutritional deficiencies.) I love veggies and hummus, have you tried that?
