The past couple of weeks I've been battling an increasingly worse sinus infection. Over the weekend I finally went to the doctor (because, you know, it was "just a cold" and going to the doctor doesn't do any good when it's "just a cold") and she prescribed anti-b's. They are doing the trick and I feel loads better after just 3.5 days of doses, but still some headache and, far more annoyingly, tooth pain.
So I haven't felt like cooking.
Hubby will usually fill in the cooking gaps when this sort of thing happens, but Monday he was also feeling poorly, and last night we had to go grocery shopping.
Which came out to Pizza Hut on Monday night and Freddy's Frozen Custard last night. Monday we at least went with the thin crust and threw on veggies. Last night I threw caution to the wind and got my favorite: Patty melt with fries.
Both nights I wound up 400 calories over my daily limit. Rats.
Illness and errands are totally my weight loss kryptonite. You'd think it would be the 4am workouts, especially in the winter when I'd far rather be snuggled under my covers sleeping, but I get up and do them and it's not so bad. However, throw something into my usual evening routine and good intentions go straight out the window, especially if I'm ill and have a craving (hello, patty melt) because I will give into the comfort aspect in a heartbeat.
Thankfully I can shake off the effects of the kryptonite, either by doing harder workouts or eating better and staying at the low end of calories (or both) for a few days. As long as it all averages, I'm super.
