We all do it. We put things off. We put off things we really don't want to do. We put off things we don't know how to do. We put off things because we are too concerned about what others may think. When we put off what God is calling us to do, we aren't only disobeying Him but we are telling Him we don't trust Him to lead us along the right path. Procrastination keeps us from doing God's will and allows Satan to lead us away from God.

Ecclesiastes 5:4 “When you make a promise to God, don’t delay in following through, for God takes no pleasure in fools. Keep all the promises you make to him.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we don't want to procrastinate. We don't want to be disobedient to You. We don't want to give into temptation. Give us the knowledge and wisdom to know what Your will is for our lives and the strength and courage to follow through as soon as You direct us to. Please remove the desire to procrastinate from our minds and hearts today. In Jesus' name. Amen.

When we are tempted to delay in what God has called us to do, we should turn to Him for strength and courage.

God gives us things to do for a reason. It is our job to do as He tells us to do.

Procrastination is something that keeps us from doing the will of God and leads to disobedience and sin.

Going to God for strength and courage will help us to keep from delaying in being obedient to Him.

When we put things off to do that we know God has called us to do, we are living in sin.

James 4:17 “Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.” (NLT)
