FEBRUARY - shortest but longest month!!

Thursday, February 06, 2014

this has been a brutal winter so far - and it aint over yet!
my neighbor Esther is still in hospital - three months on the 17th - then she will go to a physio rehab.
it has been so tough for her - and the depression crept up on her just after the holidays. it is such a cruel winter too - so if you are shut in you can't even enjoy looking out the window. you can't see much except white - ice - etc.
i wish she could have her cat for an hour or so - but the little critter can't come in to hospital. the cat is missing her so much too.
anyway - my son brought his kindle and she is enthralled with that - she can read and no books and paper to clean up.
anyway we all get thru whatever happens - what choices do we have??
i am off to have the root canal tooth finally filled with permanent filling- then after about 8 mos. i get a cap. all this for the price of a mini holiday!!! boy i hope i never have to go through that again!
every one have a safe, warm weekend - BB

Thanks for reminding me to appreciate the fact that even with this bad weather, I am luckier than some others. I hope your neighbor heads to rehab soon.

Are you sure she can't have a cat in there? I've seen therapy dogs in a hospital. Good luck with the RC, the bane of everyone's existence. Give yourself a treat for putting up with it, it does not have to be food related.

We haven't seen a winter like this for a long time and it's not over yet. I feel so sorry for you neighbor. Keeping her in my prayers. I'm sure she really misses her kitty. Maybe when she goes to rehab you might be able to bring her kitty in and that would help her depression.

This has been a brutal winter and February is a hard month to get through. I sure hope your neighbor gets some sunshine in her rehab. It would be tough enough stuck inside and than add the dreaded winter to it. I hope you are doing well. emoticon
