January Re-cap and catch up

So this first month of 2014 has been interesting...

I decided to go low carb for a while to try and get my eating under control. It has been interesting. I didn't get my exercise routine back up yet and I still officially dropped 8 lbs. YAY!

I still have to do the tape measure, but I am approaching that TOM and retaining water like a bucket.

Now, on a TMI note, there has been one interesting "side effect" for the low carb thing. I have always had a carb issue and well, I have been yeasty. Not symptomatic or uncomfortable, but my PAPs always showed up yeasty. Since lowering my sugar and starch intake, that has altered my "flora" I got a UTI. Makes sense, the dominate microbe declines and the others start fighting to take over. It's not that bad, but interesting.

I haven't set a time limit on continuing this diet. 50g of carbs a day isn't that bad and the ketosticks are a motivator. I will keep this up till the 50 sticks are gone and then re-evaluate. I may continue (Buy more sticks) or not. I have enough for the month of Feb, so we'll see.

I am supposed to be done with that costume in 7 DAYS! That was the goal I made for myself and yeah, that's not going to happen. I re-did the collar and added a little more detail and cemented the fact that I cannot sew straight! I've got one more thing I want to go back and fix and then I will be putting that part AWAY. I MADE BIAS TAPE! in 2 different sizes for this thing!!! And when I redid the collar I used a heavier interfacing and now it may be a little too standie uppie. We'll see.

Also I want to reshape the top of the pauldrons. They aren't accurate and that bugs me. The great thing about wonderflex is I probably can get the shape I want and NOT undo all the work I've already done. Fingers, eyes and toes crossed.

The leggings I ordered to do the chap things came and are perfect! Now I need to mock them up and go for it. I only have one pass at this. I should have gotten an extra set. Hindsight is a mother...

The kitten I found is in the Luv-a-Pet at PetSmart. I no want her to get adopted. I'm going to miss her. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I can't keep them all.............Want to keep NyanNyan.
