Does your scale own you?

Monday, February 03, 2014

That moment, so tense, expectations high.

Will I win? Will the scale win? Who will it be?

Step on, see the 'calculating' symbol...

Step off quickly, too scared to look.

Try it again, braver this time.

Don't look down.

Please let it be a good number, please let it be a good number...

Look down hesitantly...

It's a good number!

I won!

I know not to let the scale own me, but it is a great feeling to see a good number.

Thought to ponder: They say that those who do not study history are bound to repeat it. If I don't work through the underlying reasons for my weight issues, does that mean that I will repeat my mistakes?
