monday--all kinds of stuff

good morning everyone--hope you are having a great Monday. we are going to have lots of sunshine despite the cold--and another snow event scheduled for Tuesday.
yesterday ended up much warmer than predicted so the roads were good. we headed out in the morning to get stocked up (MORE FRUIT!!!!!!!!!). hit the grocery store, the farm store where we each got a pair of boots on sale, the menards for paint and a few other things, and then to a Mexican restaurant for lunch. they have a really lovely salad that we split--and as long as I am careful with the dressing, its fine. then part of a black bean quesadilla, which was really good. we brought quite a bit home, and rob ate it for dinner during the superbowl. I was fighting a migrane, but as I ate lunch it finally subsided. bone tired from not sleeping well on sat. night. headed home and I put all the stuff away while rob had to go into a conference call with work. then we putzed around until game time--but that didn't last long. I conked out and rob couldn't watch for long as the broncos sputtered and then died. but I tracked all my food, and actually ended up okay for the day--knowing what my lunch total was (high) helped me to plan a dinner that was filling but not calorie dense. broth based vegetable soup, homemade cottage cheese and applesauce and a slice of low cal. bread. then some slow churned vanilla yogurt and strawberries, and I ended the day well within my ranges.
I have to say the tracker helps me more than anything else. this time of year I have the time and the open thought process to come in here and track. writing down the day on a post it each day that I track is helping too. I am on day 33 of a tracking streak, and making a little party out of writing each day down will hopefully keep me motivated to do it--even as spring comes and my free time dwindles. I figured my lunch yesterday would be high--but made up my mind I would track it regardless--and it put the numbers in front of me and helped me to compensate for it through the rest of the day.
guess that's all for now--have a great day!
