[day 6] quick check in with food pics

My husband needs the computer so I have to make this quick tonight. I feel good today. I felt good ALL day. Not just physically, but emotionally. It's been a long time since I've been able to say that. Fruits and veggies aren't just healing my body, they are healing my soul.
Breakfast was strawberry cinnamon raisin oats with almond milk and a pineapple-cherry-spinach-OJ smoothie.
ALSO! My husband is getting on the green smoothie bandwagon! Today is the second day in a row I've made one for him. Sooo happy. He also got his dinner from the Whole Foods bar tonight and it was mostly kale and veggies. So proud of him.
Lunch was another huge salad with romaine, mushrooms, cucumber, red bell pepper, english peas, carrots, garbanzo beans, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and a dressing made from ACV (apple cider vinegar) and this new herb blend I bought at Costco today.
Dinner was this AMAZING new recipe I tried: rainbow chard with apples and raisins. I don't know why my picture is upside down. Mine doesn't look super appetizing, but go to the website!! Her pictures are GORGEOUS and this recipe is definitely worth making.
Today I tried to eat one of those coconut date rolls that I bought yesterday and . . . wait for it . . . it was TOO SWEET to my tastebuds and I DIDN'T FINISH IT. What?? Who am I and what did I do with myself?? I don't know, but this veggie-loving version of me sure is welcome to stick around! I've always liked vegetables, but I'm already starting to feel like I crave them. Also today, I couldn't finish my salad. I was too full. Whaaa? From veggies? I've been eating every last speck of bell pepper all week and today I was so much more easily satisfied. It's a good feeling. Now it's 8:05PM and I think I'm going to just go to bed. Awesome but crazy.
Workout today was 35 minutes on the treadmill while watching the Mizzou vs UK basketball game. Mizzou lost . . .
but I had fun watching anyway! Hope you all had a happy and healthy day!
