As the Snow Flies

Today we had another snow storm.
Luckily I got to the gym with DH first thing. I then came home and...
I did manage to make it to my bed and under the covers first, though.
Which is what happens when the pressure is changing because of a storm. I curl up and sleep. I can't help it or even control it. It seems to be an animal instinct of some sort. Find a safe place to burrow and hide from the coming storm.
Once the snow started falling I was fine.
But man is it piling up! With the relentless cold weather, there has been no time for snow to melt in between snow falls. So it's all still here.
And we got another 8 inches or so today. When I was shovelling the driveway, I had to practically carry the snow into the back yard to find some place still flat enough to pile it. (You know it's bad when you actually have to shovel away the snow that you just brushed off your car!)
But anyway, that meant lots of steps. And shovelling is a combined cardio and strength workout, so I'm not complaining about that. Just the amount of snow, and the fact that there is barely any room left for it.
Tomorrow I will go to Step class, since the snow is too wet and sticky for good snow shoeing. (Nothing worse when you are snow shoeing than clumping around with big balls of wet snow building underneath your feet with every step you take.)
